Hey everyone, I’ve got a lot on the go just now and honestly, I’m not sure where to begin, so I’ll just dive right in.

• Mind Surfing and Evening Song have been republished in a new 25th Anniversary Edition.
• Mind Surfing was picked up by Audible and officially published on February 4th, 2025. Audible voice actor Stephanie Gish brings Karen Simpson and the story to life.
• Evening Song – Òran Feasgair was picked up by Audible and will be published mid-April, 2025. Audible voice actor Stephanie Gish will again be at the helm in bringing the story to life.
• While in Portugal this winter, I completed The Piper’s Lullaby – Òran tàlaidh a’ Phìobaire, my first major work of fiction in 25 years and the third book in the Sandalwood Investigation Agency series. It feels amazing to be back in my writer’s chair. I’ve also begun the search for an agent to represent the book.
• Also, while in Portugal this winter, I began writing The Ploughman’s House – Taigh an treabhaiche, the fourth book in the Sandalwood Investigation Agency series.
• And… the idea for The Green Door – An Doras Uaine, the fifth book in the Sandalwood Investigation Agency series, was conceived.
• Portugal, Portugal, Portugal. A place of long walks, delicious food, playing in a small jazz combo, visits with friends, relaxed people, and endless inspiration for writing. Altura in the Algarve will be our winter home again next year… and for the foreseeable future.
• We were greeted on our return by the typical Canadian -11°C temperatures, but we are happy to be home, enjoying quality time with our children and animals, reconnecting with our home musical acts, and, of course, catching up with friends.”
